“CAROLINE! I have been in tears over how beautiful our wedding pictures are! Looking at them took us right back to our day! We cannot thank you enough for everything. You were there for us beyond just the photos. You captured every single moment perfectly. You made us look fabulous! Couldn’t have asked for anything more. You’re an amazing photographer.” – Paige and Trevor McDonald
Paige and Trevor wed on June 1st, 2024 on the sunny streets of Augusta in the company of their family and friends thanks to the fabulous planning and execution by Greg Boulus Events. Our day started at the grooms childhood home, and ended at Augusta College for their ceremony and reception. Paige dreamed of a classic black and white wedding, and with elegant florals by Charleston Street and intimate details like and painted oysters shells.
Paige wore light blue heels to match with her jewelry and detail additions, which was such a delight to photograph alongside her custom letter press invitations. When photographing details I like to mix in traditional set ups with editorial flat lays. The gorgeous checkered marble floor on the home made the perfect back drop for a portion of their detail shots, as well as utilizing the antique wooden staircase for direct flash shots.
Paige lost her mom a few years ago, and this deeply resonated with me having lost my own mother as well. Paiges mother in law helped her get ready and it was such a heartwarming moment to witness, full of joy and emotions. I always love when I have the privilege of connecting with my couples on a deeper level, and seeing these interactions between them warmed my heart.
After Paige, got ready the groomsmen headed back from the solarium to start the first looks and this is where Paige and her dad did their first look, which was so touching and full of tears.
For the ceremony, Paige arrived in a beautiful car and walked down the aisle to one of my favorite songs, Enchanted, played by a string quartet. A beautiful memorial chair was dedicated to her mom, and it was one of my favorite aspects of the design elements of the day.
For cocktail hour, they opted for several stations of gourmet hors d’oeuvres and a stunning charcuterie display. Their cake was the star of the show, boasting several with their custom wedding crest.
The night ended with dinner and dancing in the ballroom, along with some late night flat lays, which are always a great addition to diversifying galleries. Here are my favorite shots from the reception.
A huge shoutout to the amazing vendors who made this day seamless and memorable
